If they wanted an amusement park....why didnt they just buy Bells?

Is there anything going on with Bell's? I've heard jack squat lately.

I wish them luck. However, I wonder why they didn't come forward before the rides were sold off or auctioned? Now they have to start from scratch in the ride category.

Murphy Brothers has provided the midway at the Tulsa State Fair since the 1970's. There has been some speculation about their possible role in the eviction of Bell's. Sources I read haven't heard anything about Bell's.

Rides are one thing that the Murphy's are not lacking. They've absorbed several shows over the years. Other than spectaculars they have multiples fo what is now considered "standard" rides.
With the skyrocketing price of diesel fuel I imagine they are hedging their bets with a stationary operation.

I think Dutchman hit it right on the head. Anyway, the park without the rides must be a great deal cheaper. But along with it, they get the park infrastructure.

Plus the city is issuing bonds and giving them 10-years of tax abatements.

all the rides had leans on em so you would have basically had to buy them too. Chuck, saying if the buildings and infastructure are still there, Well thats over half the cost of getting started.

I hope they dont get it.The last thing we need is their underhanded dealings anywhere near Wichita.Im begining to wonder if this park is just bound to draw all the bottom feeders.
